A Prophetic Invocation

Praise be to God –
before whose grandeur
   all things are modest,
before whose might
   all things are lowly,
to whose reign
   all things surrender,
to whose power
   all things submit,
before whose worth
   all things become still,
to whose wisdom
   all things are manifest,
before whose majesty
   all things are humbled.

الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي تَوَاضَعَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِعَظَمَتِهِ، وَذَلَّ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِعِزَّتِهِ،
وخَضَعَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِمُلْكِهِ، وَاسْتَسْلَمَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِقُدْرَتِهِ، وَسَكَنَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِهَيْبَتِهِ،
وَأَظْهَرَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ بِحِكْمَتِهِ، وَتَصَاغَرَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِكِبْرِيَائِهِ.
